Yes JD, I sent my daughter to Kenya with UNC a few summer ago, to work with orphaned and sick children. It was a wild and life changing experience for her, and she definitely needed the Yellow Fever Vaccine.
She kissed the ground when she returned home off the plane, and It gave her a very positive perspective on her life in America, and has since learned to appreciate everyday for the gift of being born here:)
Curious why you didn't start your African adventure in South Africa. Their bureaucrats are well tuned to foreigners who want to visit the wilds of Africa (which really means nearby countries).
